Desra Group Founder Attends 61st NCMS Annual Training Seminar in Kissimmee, Florida

Dalton Young attended the NCMS Annual Training Seminar while serving as a security professional in industry, experience that now informs Desra Group's facility security service line.

Engagement with the industrial security community

The NCMS Annual Training Seminar is the premier professional development event for industrial security practitioners working under the National Industrial Security Program (NISP). Mr. Young attended in his capacity as a security professional employed in industry at the time, well before founding Desra Group. The relationships, standards, and DCSA guidance he engaged with there continue to inform the firm's facility and program security service line today.

On-site, Mr. Young took part in working sessions on NISPOM (32 CFR Part 117) implementation, DCSA Vulnerability Assessment trends, Insider Threat Program maturity, Continuous Evaluation, and the operational impact of the SEAD-3 reporting requirements on cleared contractors.

Why this matters for Desra Group customers

Desra Group's facility and program security service line is built around the same framework DCSA assesses contractors against: NISPOM, the DCSA Assessment and Authorization Process Manual (DAAPM), the SF-328, the DD-254, and the day-to-day rhythm of running a compliant cleared facility.

Ongoing engagement with the NCMS community keeps the firm's FSO support, FCL sponsorship guidance, self-inspection programs, and insider threat advisory services aligned to the latest DCSA guidance rather than last cycle's interpretation. For Florida-based primes and subs operating across MacDill AFB, Patrick Space Force Base, Eglin AFB, Hurlburt Field, and the rest of the state's installation corridors, that currency matters.
